Bigfoot....

Sightings and evidence of Bigfoot are often. With all these encounters, there has been distribution models made to predict locations and possible ranges of these creatures. From these models we can see the distance and relationships of the sightings. I think this is a very interesting tool because I believe that the more sightings there are in a close area that there must be something, maybe not Bigfoot, but something very closely related. In some and probably most, as seen in the article, sightings are mistaken for black bears. These black bears are seen to have the same geographic surroundings and movement patterns like the Bigfoot. With all the changing environments because of the climate or people, Bigfoot is predicted to move to higher altitudes due to circumstances. This is very similar to the black bears of the same regions. This makes me question if Bigfoot is actually real. The close relationship between the bears and Bigfoot lead me to believe it is all a misunderstanding. People are confused and maybe it's just because they want to believe that Bigfoot is real. It is like confirmation bias, we tend to find evidence/facts that back up our beliefs, we look for things that prove us right. This could have something to do with all of the sightings. If i saw something in the woods and had no clue black bears inhabited that region I would jump to the conclusion of Bigfoot because I want to believe Bigfoot is real. With the doubts of all the sightings an evidence, I still am a firm believer in Bigfoot.
