Kissing Sharks

First of all, the fact that more deaths have resulted from selfies rather than sharks is crazy. People are always trying to do the next big thing. They're eager to show it off, no matter how dangerous or scary it is. Such as taking a selfie hanging off the top of a bridge, or high building. But yet, people are more scared of sharks. Why is that I wonder? Is it because of movies such as Jaws setting the image of sharks as animals that solely want to eat humans in the most disturbing and painful ways? Probably so. If you think of it this way though, sharks are just animals. They don't have the same brain as a person does. They're not wired to think the same as us. Their natural instinct tells them they're the "big dogs" of the ocean. They can eat whatever. If they see something they're interested in, they will eat it because they don't have fear towards other fish. So when they have bad situations with humans, they're just viewing them as another source of food. We are invading their feeding grounds, so you can't blame them. There's actually a video that shows a guy that commonly kisses nurse sharks. He's done it many many times with no accident. But, one day he made the mistake of flipping the shark over. The shark's eyes are on top of it's head, so it can't see him and would be assuming that the guy is feeding it fish. So instead of taking the kiss like normal, it bit down on the guy with 500 teeth. Once again, it proves they're just animals. They don't do things out of spite, they just don't have our natural hardware to process situations the same way we do.
