    Researching Experiments Relating Ocean Acidification to Large Marine Organisms

    Although I was not able to find any articles dealing with the effect of global change on large marine organisms, I was able to find an article that addressed the problem discussed before in a different way. This article discussed the idea that increased ocean acidification is affecting the size and weight of shells and skeletons of marine organisms living in seas from the tropics to the poles. In turn, these animals are an important food source for marine predators such as tropical seabirds and seals as well as being a valuable ingredient in human food production. Before reading this article, I was only interested in studies that dealt primarily with large marine organisms, but this article linked small and large marine organisms by discussing the importance of the food chain to both large marine organisms and to humans.
